Structural design of
re-shoring for 12-story, 750 vehicle space postensioned parking garage.
Re-shoring allows a Contractor to construct upper level concrete floors
while lower level floors are still curing. The use of re-shoring
compresses the construction schedule resulting in a significant cost
savings for the Owner. The garage alleviates parking congestion on
nearby streets as well as provide space for additional business
development and retention. Construction of the garage is expected to
take about 16 months, and should be open for business by July of 2007.
Services included review of existing construction plans, specifications,
and reports; structural analysis of existing structural systems;
preparation of design criteria and loads; preparation of calculations,
construction plans, specifications and construction phase site visits.
Estimated Construction Cost: $12,000,000.00 |
