The Eilenberger
Springs replacement bridge was designed to span Towanda Creek and allows
access to the Eilenberger Spring treatment plant. The cast-in-place,
reinforced concrete culvert had a 22-foot span, a 12-foot clear roadway
width, and a clear opening height of 11-feet. Wing walls extended a
horizontal distance of fourteen feet at a forty-five degree angle from
the corners of the box culvert. Replacement bridge design was in
accordance with PADOT LRFD Box Culvert (BXLRFD) to support H-20 loading
conditions.
