Civil and structural design of a 20,000 square foot manufacturing addition. Superstructure is open web steel roof joists supporting metal deck. Exterior and interior wall systems are composed of load-bearing and non load-bearing reinforced masonry shear walls. The ground floor slab-on-grade is reinforced concrete. Site design included preparation of Soil Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control, and Stormwater Management and Site Plans and Narratives for two-acre site. Structural services included on-site verification of existing facilities, preparation of calculations, construction plans and specifications for construction of the addition; bid and construction phase services that included shop drawing review and construction phase site visits. | |
